Allsvenskan 100 Years - A Century of Swedish Football
On April 10, 2021, the All-Swedish Kick-Off Meeting took place on Fotboll Play, where club coaches discussed the upcoming season. The All-Swedish, also known as Fotbollsallsvenskan, is Sweden's premier football league and has been played annually since 1924.
This year marks the Allsvenskan's 100th anniversary, and the coaches were asked how they feel about the challenge that lies ahead. Malmö FF coach Jon Dahl Tomasson expressed his excitement at the prospect of competing for the league title once again, while Hammarby IF coach Stefan Billborn spoke about the importance of maintaining stability and consistency within the team.
Malmö FF Target 26th Allsvenskan Title
Malmö FF is the most successful club in Allsvenskan history, with 25 league titles to their name. They will be looking to win the championship for the 26th time this season, which would be their third consecutive title. Coach Jon Dahl Tomasson is confident that his team has the quality to achieve this goal.
"We have a strong squad and we are hungry for success," said Tomasson. "We know that it will be a tough challenge, but we are determined to give it our all and make history."
