Iga Świątek starts Wimbledon with a win

Wins 20th consecutive match
World No. 1 Iga Świątek began her Wimbledon campaign with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Sofia Kenin in the first round on Tuesday. The win marked Świątek's 44th match win of the season and extended her winning streak to 20 matches.
Świątek, who has won two Grand Slams this year, was tested by Kenin in the second set. However, she was able to break Kenin's serve in the ninth game and then served out the match to win in straight sets.
Świątek will face Lesley Pattinama Kerkhove in the second round on Thursday.
