American Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing After Smoke Fills Cabin

The issue that caused the emergency landing was smoke filling the cabin.
The flight landed safely in Syracuse and was taxied to the gate.

"American Airlines flight 4720 from Boston to Rochester diverted to Syracuse Hancock International Airport this afternoon due to smoke in the cabin," the airline said in a statement.
"The flight landed safely and taxied to the gate. Customers deplaned normally and are being accommodated on a new aircraft to Rochester."
